For the Chicken Marinade:

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts, cut into 2–3 cm cubes
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Tzatziki Sauce:

  • 1 cucumber, peeled and grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 500g strained Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste

To Serve:

  • 8 pita breads
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • Fried potatoes (optional)
  • Extra lemon wedges

🔥 Preparation Steps:

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Mix chicken cubes with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for 30–60 minutes.
  2. Make the Tzatziki: Grate cucumber and squeeze out excess water. Mix with garlic, yogurt, vinegar, olive oil, and salt. Chill in the fridge.
  3. Prepare the Skewers: Soak wooden skewers in water (to prevent burning). Thread marinated chicken onto skewers.
  4. Grill the Chicken: Heat a grill or pan over high heat. Cook skewers for 8–10 minutes, turning until golden and cooked through.
  5. Warm the Pita: Brush pita breads with olive oil, sprinkle with oregano, and warm in the oven or on a pan.
