🍲 Beef and Potato Stew

👨‍🍳 Instructions:
Sear the beef

Heat oil in a large pot.

Brown beef cubes on all sides. Remove and set aside.

Sauté aromatics

Add onion and garlic to the pot. Cook until soft.

Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1–2 minutes.

Deglaze and build flavor

Pour in Worcestershire sauce and wine (if using).

Scrape up browned bits from the bottom.

Simmer the stew

Return beef to the pot. Add potatoes, carrots, thyme, bay leaves, and broth.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 60–90 minutes until beef is tender.

Thicken and finish

Mix flour with a bit of water and stir into stew if thicker consistency is desired.

Remove bay leaves and adjust seasoning.

Serve

Ladle into bowls and garnish with fresh parsley.

Pair with crusty bread or serve over mashed potatoes.
