  • 2 green bell peppers, sliced into strips
  • 1 yellow bell pepper (optional, for color), sliced
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 large ripe tomatoes, grated (or 200ml tomato passata or crushed tomatoes)
  • 100ml red wine (optional, but adds depth of flavor)
