🧆 Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwich
👨‍🍳 Instructions:
- Sear the beef
- Season roast with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sear roast on all sides until browned.
- Build the flavor
- In the same skillet, sauté onions until caramelized. Add garlic and cook briefly.
- Deglaze with a splash of broth and scrape up browned bits.
- Slow cook
- Transfer beef and onion mixture to slow cooker.
- Add remaining broth, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaf.
- Cook on low for 6–8 hours or until beef is fall-apart tender.
- Shred and serve
- Remove beef, shred or slice thinly.
- Strain cooking liquid to make au jus for dipping.
- Toast rolls, pile on beef and onions, top with cheese, and broil until melted.
- Dip and enjoy
- Serve sandwiches with warm au jus on the side.
