Mound Bars

Ingredients:
For the Crust
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
One quarter cup white sugar
One quarter cup melted butter
For the Coconut Layer
One 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups flaked coconut
For the Topping
One 12 ounce package semisweet chocolate chips melted
Directions:
Prepare the Crust
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius.
In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a nine by thirteen inch baking pan.
Bake for 15 minutes, then leave the oven on.
Make the Coconut Layer
In a separate bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk with the flaked coconut until fully combined.
Spread the coconut mixture evenly over the baked crust.
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Add the Chocolate Topping
While the bars bake, melt the chocolate chips until smooth.
Once the coconut layer is done baking, spread the melted chocolate evenly over the top.
Cool and Serve
Allow the bars to cool completely at room temperature until the chocolate hardens, about 1 hour.
Cut into squares and enjoy.
