- 3–4 garlic cloves, minced
- 400g canned or fresh tomatoes, chopped
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: paprika, cumin, bay leaf, fresh parsley, fried egg or Manchego cheese for topping
