🍽️ Ingredients (Serves 4):

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp seasoned salt
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ⅛ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup thinly sliced onion
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp cooking sherry (optional)

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Make the patties: In a bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings. Form into 4–6 patties.
  2. Sear the steaks: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side until browned. Remove and keep warm.
  3. Cook the onions: In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until soft and golden.
  4. Make the gravy: Sprinkle flour over onions and stir. Gradually add beef broth and sherry, scraping up browned bits. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Finish: Return patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Serve: Spoon gravy over the steaks and serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
