Hamburger Steak Patties

🍔 Ingredients

For the Patties:

  • 1 lb ground beef (lean)
  • ½ white onion, diced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup flour (for coating)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

For the Gravy:

  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ½ tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

🔥 Instructions

  1. Mix the Patties: In a bowl, combine ground beef, diced onion, egg, breadcrumbs, bacon, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and shape into 4 equal patties.
  2. Coat & Sear: Lightly coat each patty in flour. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown patties on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the Gravy: In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion until soft. Whisk flour and water together, then add to the skillet. Stir in gravy mix, Worcestershire sauce, mushrooms, salt, and pepper.
  4. Simmer: Return patties to the skillet, spoon gravy over them, and simmer on low for 20 minutes until cooked through.
