📝 Ingredients:

  • 2–3 lbs boneless beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil or butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, cubed
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

🍳 Method:

  1. Season beef with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour.
  2. Brown beef in oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté onion, garlic, and carrots until slightly caramelized.
  4. Add potatoes, celery, broth, tomato paste, bay leaf, thyme, and Worcestershire.
  5. Return beef to pot, stir, and bring to a simmer.
  6. Cover and cook on low heat for 2½–3 hours until beef is tender.
  7. Remove bay leaf, adjust seasoning, and serve hot with crusty bread.
