Black Forest Roll Cake
Ingredients:
4 eggs
100g sugar
80g flour
20g cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup whipped cream
1/2 cup cherry pie filling or sweet cherries
Chocolate shavings (for garnish)
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Beat eggs and sugar until thick and fluffy. Gently fold in sifted flour, cocoa powder, and vanilla.
Spread batter evenly on the tray and bake for 10–12 minutes.
Roll the warm cake in a clean towel to shape, then cool completely.
Unroll, spread whipped cream and cherries inside, then roll back up.
Top with extra cream, cherry filling, and chocolate shavings. Chill before slicing.
