Cook the bacon
In a large pot, cook bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside.
Sauté aromatics
Add butter to the pot, then sauté onion and garlic until soft.
Make the roux
Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
Add broth and potatoes
Pour in chicken broth, stir well, and add diced potatoes. Cook until tender.
Add fish and corn
Stir in walleye and corn. Simmer until fish is opaque and cooked through.
Finish with cream and bacon
Add heavy cream and reserved bacon. Heat through and season to taste.
Serve
Garnish with parsley and enjoy with crusty bread.
