🍔 Ingredients
For the Patties:
- 1 lb ground beef (lean)
- ½ white onion, diced
- 1 egg, beaten
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs
- ½ cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup flour (for coating)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
For the Gravy:
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup water
- ¼ cup flour
- ½ tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
🔥 Instructions
- Mix the Patties: In a bowl, combine ground beef, diced onion, egg, breadcrumbs, bacon, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and shape into 4 equal patties.
- Coat & Sear: Lightly coat each patty in flour. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown patties on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Gravy: In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion until soft. Whisk flour and water together, then add to the skillet. Stir in gravy mix, Worcestershire sauce, mushrooms, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer: Return patties to the skillet, spoon gravy over them, and simmer on low for 20 minutes until cooked through.
