Henny Butter Shrimp – viral luxury dish with cognac butter
Instructions
1. Prepare the Shrimp:
Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
2. Make the Henny Butter Sauce:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt the butter.
Add minced garlic, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Carefully pour in Hennessy and let it simmer for 1–2 minutes to reduce slightly.
Stir in smoked paprika, chili flakes, and lemon juice.
3. Combine and Serve:
Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, tossing them in the Henny butter sauce until fully coated.
Garnish with fresh parsley.
Serve immediately over toasted bread, steamed rice, or enjoy as-is for a luxury appetizer.
