Italian Braised Pork Steak

🔥 Instructions

1. Brown the Pork

  • Season pork steaks with garlic powder, onion powder, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tbsp olive oil and sear pork steaks on both sides (4–5 minutes each). Remove and set aside.

2. Build the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and sauté onion and mushrooms for 3–4 minutes.
  • Add bell peppers and garlic; cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Stir in tomato paste, then add diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and chicken stock. Mix well.

3. Braise the Pork

  • Return pork steaks to the pan, spoon sauce over them.
  • Cover and simmer on low heat for 25–30 minutes, flipping occasionally.
  • Add zucchini and olives in the last 10 minutes of cooking.

4. Serve

  • Garnish with fresh parsley.
  • Serve with creamy polenta, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread.
