  • ¾ cup chickpea flour (or if available)
  • 1 tbsp berbere spice
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • 3 cups water
  • Salt to taste

🔥 Method

  1. Toast the chickpea flour with berbere, cardamom, cumin, and garlic powder in a dry pan. Set aside.
