Pour milk into a separate bowl.
Dredge the Fish
Dip each fillet into the milk, then coat in the cornmeal mixture.
Shake off excess and set aside.
Fry to Perfection
Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Cook fillets 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown and flaky.
Don’t overcrowd the pan—work in batches if needed.
Serve Hot
Drain on paper towels.
Season with extra salt and pepper if desired.
Garnish and serve with your favorite sides.
