🍳 Instructions
- Cook the meat: In a large cast iron skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Drain excess grease and set aside.
- Prep the veggies and bacon: Dice bell pepper, onion, and bacon. Slice the sausage.
- Combine everything: In the same skillet, add cooked beef, sausage, bacon, onion, and bell pepper. Stir in baked beans, maple syrup, brown sugar, BBQ seasoning, and water.
- Bake or smoke:
- Oven: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 minutes, stirring once or twice.
- Smoker: Smoke at 225°F for 1 hour, then increase to 350°F for 30–40 minutes.
- Serve: Once bacon is cooked and veggies are soft, serve hot. Perfect with cornbread or grilled meats!
