- 500g beef (cut into chunks)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 2 tomatoes (chopped)
- 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
- 100g mushrooms (sliced)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 teaspoon dried herbs (thyme or oregano)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup water or beef broth
👨🍳 Preparation Steps
- Sear the Beef
- Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
- Add beef chunks and brown them on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Vegetables
- In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until soft.
- Add tomatoes, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Simmer the Stew
- Return the beef to the pot.
- Add herbs, salt, pepper, and water or broth.
- Cover and simmer for 45–60 minutes until the meat is tender and the sauce thickens.
