🍳 Method
Cook the bacon until crispy and set aside on paper towels.
Butter one side of each bread slice.
Assemble the sandwich: on the unbuttered side, layer cheddar, bacon, mozzarella, and Swiss. Add any extras if using.
Grill in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown and cheese is melted—about 3–4 minutes per side.
Slice and serve hot, with a side of pickles or tomato soup if you’re feeling classic.
