Baked Mackerel with Harissa and Preserved Lemons
🔥 Method
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Score the mackerel skin lightly to help absorb flavor.
- Mix harissa, garlic, and olive oil into a paste. Rub generously over the fish.
- Stuff or top with preserved lemon slices, tucking them into the cuts or cavity.
- Place on a baking tray lined with parchment. Bake for 20–25 minutes until skin is crisp and flesh flakes easily.
- Garnish with herbs and serve with couscous, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad.
